macTV Updates

macTV updated yesterday with a huge archive of high quality (many in HD) Apple related videos. I try to stay away from posting about anything Apple here (for fear of an over-saturated blogosphere), but as the company and brand have fast become a cultural staple and show no signs of slowing, this is a cool resource for even those among us who aren’t Mac enthusiasts.
Content includes vintage commercials like “1984”, the “Think Different” and “Switch” campaigns, a complete collection of iPod/iTunes promos, and a number of Apple and iPod references in satire. All videos are encoded in H.264 (you’ll need the latest version of Quicktime) and the owner, Asif, has taken great care to obtain the highest quality source material, scoring a number of videos in HD exclusively for his library.
I’ll be contributing to the updated macTV video podcasts soon (I also designed the new logo), so head over and check out the sweet new digs.
