Green My Apple

We love Apple. Apple knows more about “clean” design than anybody, right? So why do Macs, iPods, iBooks and the rest of their product range contain hazardous substances that other companies have agreed to abandon? A cutting edge company shouldn’t be cutting lives short by exposing children in China and India to dangerous chemicals. That’s why we Apple fans need to demand a new, cool product: a greener Apple.

In a recent independent study, various laptops were tested for their levels of toxic chemical contamination and among them Apple’s MacBook Pro scored as one of the worst. The “Green My Apple” campaign is in response to this, and although targeted at Apple will no doubt shed light onto the greater issue of these chemicals being used in abundance regardless of manufacturer. With their recent trend-setting track record, if Apple can be moved to change others will be far more likely to follow suit. Visit the site for more info, video and promotional materials.
