Complete Mozart Scores Available Online

The International Mozart Foundation, with a $400,000 grant from the Packard Humanities Institute of Los Altos, California, has made the complete scores of Mozart available for free online. The version used is a copy of the “New Mozart Edition” published by Barenreiter of Kassel, Germany, and is considered by many to be the gold standard of Mozart editions.

Unfortunately the site is currently under stress from unexpected popularity, but they are working to get things running smoothly soon with increased server capacity. This is one I’d bookmark for later.

We hope we will be able to convince other people besides us to present their original materials online as well.
