Eric Staller: Light Drawings

Using a tripod, long exposures, and various light sources (sparklers, Christmas lights wrapped around a hula hoop, etc.), Eric Staller created these beautiful light drawings in New York City during the late 70’s.

Check out Eric’s other work at his website, including a remote-controlled wheel of German storm-troop boots and a Fiat 500 impaled from the side by a rack of bowling pins. Also don’t miss one of his latest projects, ConferenceBike, a bicycle powered by the pedaling of 7 passengers all facing each other in a circle.
His 2006 book, Out of My Mind, is an autobiographical, image-filled look at his work and creative process. You can buy the book as well as a ton of other interesting items at his webstore.
