Really digging this FF Mark minisite, which is using:

filter: blur

This CSS effect isn’t very widely supported across browsers yet, but eventually it will be. And that opens up some very interesting possibilities for interactive video on the web. Using multiple video layers with alpha channels you could control focus and even depth-based parallax all in the browser.
